Series: WASTE MANAGEMENT IS A REAL PROBLEM

8th September 2019

Waste is a real problem, intro

For years, the West has relied on third countries with softer laws for dumping its waste. But in 2017, China closed its border down, after it was Malaysia. And other Asiatic countries have already announced plans in the same direction. Nonetheless, the World Bank forecast the global waste would increase by 70% by 2050. Now is clear: Waste Management is a real Problem.

In this series (Part 1, Part 2 & Part 3), we will explain how the rubbish and recycling system works in Greater Manchester, what the barriers are, and how can we pass over it. Why from The Green Bee we say that waste management is a real problem. If you are interested in environmental issues follow me on Twitter @Juanelev
